The strategic session "Problems and prospects of development of inbound and domestic tourism" was held at the 51 Kazakh National University.

The event was organized by the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of KazNU in cooperation with the public foundation "Center for Trade and Economic Strategies".

The purpose of the meeting is to develop effective solutions aimed at stimulating the sustainable growth of the country's tourism industry.

The event was attended by Daniel Argyn, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Tourism JSC, Aigul Zhanserikova, President of the Qazaq-Oner National Association, creative industry expert, Daulet Yesenaliev, Managing Partner of Open Travel Advisory, DMO and tourism digitalization specialist, university scientists, industry experts and representatives of public organizations.

During the event, the participants discussed in detail the tourism infrastructure, quality of service, marketing strategies and personnel training. The participants raised the issues of the weakness of transport logistics in the tourism industry, the uneven distribution of tourist services and the lack of advertising. Having discussed the issue of the lack of information resources and the complexity of visa procedures for foreign tourists in inbound tourism, the speakers stressed the need for effective use of Kazakhstan's rich natural, historical and cultural heritage. It was also noted that for the development of domestic tourism, it is important to promote regional directions, give priority to ecotourism and ethnotourism. Thus, this meeting became a platform for clarifying the direction of tourism development in Kazakhstan and proposals for addressing key issues in this area.

This event will give an impetus to further enhance the role of tourism in the economy and promote the attractiveness of the country at the international level.
