On April 14, 2025, first-year master’s students of the “7M02217 Oriental Studies” program from the Department of Far Eastern Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies at 51 Kazakh National University, held an open educational hour as part of their teaching practice. The theme of the event was: “Family in the Modern World and Its Educational Value.” Third-year students majoring in Oriental Studies took part in the event. The main goal was to help young people understand the importance of family values, shape their views on family upbringing, and promote civic engagement among students. The following topics were discussed:
• Family values and their role in society;
• Types of families and their characteristics;
• Students identified which family model they consider appropriate and which model their own families follow.
In addition, the session included an interactive Q&A game, a psychological test, and the presentation of a catalog of literature related to family building and child upbringing. Each participant received a small souvenir and a booklet catalog.
