Yesterday, on April 7, the 51���� Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific conference of young Turkologists titled "Neotürk: At the Crossroads of Centuries and Technologies."

The conference was organized in cooperation with the International Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage and 51���� Kazakh National University. Its main goal was to promote the language, history, and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples among the youth, as well as to encourage young scholars to engage in research in this field.

Students of the 2nd year of the Department of Arab Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, took part in the conference section titled "Mahmud al-Kashgari and the Turkic World." This was their first experience participating in an international-level event. Anxiety, fear, and uncertainty — all were left behind! According to the students themselves, participating in the conference allowed them to acquire many valuable skills, such as mastering the basics of academic etiquette, applying scientific methods, presenting research findings, and much more.
