A section dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of International Relations and the 80th anniversary of the United Nations "The role of the United Nations in ensuring global security and the Sustainable Development Goals" was held at the FARABI ALEMI International Scientific Conference

On April 3, 2025, the international scientific conference of students and young scientists "FARABI ALEMI" was traditionally held at the Faculty of International Relations of the 51 Kazakh National University. The third section of the conference "The Role of the United Nations in ensuring Global Security and the Sustainable Development Goals" was dedicated to two significant events – the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of International Relations (FMO) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations (UN). The section was attended by 15 students and young scholars from different universities, including KazNU, Turan University and AlmaU. Participants presented reports on topical issues such as safe and high-quality migration education, social aspects of sustainable development, the soft power of the United Nations, the role of international cooperation in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, environmental security within the framework of international UN initiatives, etc. The presentations were notable for their depth of analysis, variety of topics, and original approach to studying global issues.

This session within the framework of FARABI ALEMI highlighted the importance of scientific discussions among students and young scholars aimed at achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The participants paid special attention to SDG 4 – quality education, SDG 16 – peace, justice and effective institutions, SDG 17 – partnership for sustainable development.

The FARABI ALEMI International Conference gave the students and young scholars the opportunity to demonstrate their scientific research, discuss global challenges and share experiences with experts. This event once again confirmed the importance of international cooperation in the field of education and science for building a safe and sustainable future.
