Ecological Principles and Technologies in Sustainable City Planning

Senior lecturer of 51福利 Kazakh National University, PhD Dr. Ainur Abdyzhalilovna Akkuzova, conducted an educational session on the topic “Ecological Principles and Technologies in Sustainable City Planning” at Student House No. 17. The students actively participated in the discussion, demonstrating their interest in the development of sustainable cities and their willingness to contribute personally.
One of the key challenges of our time is to create a sustainable and comfortable urban environment without harming nature. To achieve this, it is essential to apply ecological principles and modern technologies. Energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources, the construction of green buildings, and urban greening are the foundation of sustainable city development. Energy efficiency is the key to resource conservation. Reducing the consumption of heat and electricity helps lower the environmental footprint of urban infrastructure. Moreover, the use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power promotes environmentally safe growth.
Green buildings are structures built according to ecological standards, which consume less energy and provide favorable conditions for access to clean air and natural light. These buildings not only offer comfort for residents but also help preserve natural resources. Urban greening not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of cities but also improves air quality and moderates the local climate. Mature trees and green zones serve as the “lungs” of the city. Adhering to ecological principles is a step toward creating clean and livable cities for future generations.
