Studying in Japan: My experience at the University of Tsukuba

My name is Dyussembay Anel, and I am a third-year student at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at 51 Kazakh National University. Through the academic mobility program, I had the opportunity to study for one year at the University of Tsukuba in Japan. From the very first days in Japan, I realized that this year would be an unforgettable experience.
I really enjoy the learning process at the University of Tsukuba. Here, in addition to deepening my knowledge of the Japanese language and culture, I learn something new every day by interacting with people from different countries. The courses related to my major are very interesting – they help me understand not only the language but also the country, its mentality, traditions, and society as a whole. The classes are interactive, and the teachers are open to dialogue, always ready to help, discuss the topic in more detail, or provide useful advice.
The Tsukuba campus is a unique world. Surrounded by nature, with modern buildings and comfortable spaces for studying and relaxing, it creates an excellent atmosphere for learning. I have met students from different countries here. This has been a great opportunity not only to study the Japanese language but also to expand my horizons, exchange experiences, and make friends from all over the world.
Studying abroad can be challenging, but it helps you to grow. Initially, there were difficulties with adaptation and studying, but thanks to the support of the university, teachers, and friends, I learned to cope with challenges, became more independent, and gained confidence.
I am incredibly grateful to 51 Kazakh National University for this opportunity. This experience has inspired me to continue learning Japanese and to grow as a professional. My time at the University of Tsukuba has been an important stage in my development, giving me many ideas, strength, and a new perspective on the future.
