As part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal SDG 16 "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions", on December 13-14, 2025, 1st and 3rd year students of the educational program "7M07203 - Pharmaceutical Production Technology" held an open educational event - a presentation "The History of the Formation of Sovereign Kazakhstan" through the analysis of historical books dedicated to the events of that time. The event was held for two days at the faculty and in the hostel No. 13 with the active participation of teachers of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers: PhD, Associate Professor Biktemisova A.U., PhD, senior lecturers - Litvinenko Yu.A., Umbetova A.K., Iminova R.S., Kairalapova G.Zh., PhD senior lecturer Yelibayeva N.S. and Assoc. Professor Kudaibergenova B.M. Students of group 301 Aknur Kazybekyzy, Aimyrzayeva Akmaral and Kady Nagzhan took an active part in preparing and organizing the presentation.

The presentation included analytical work with historical books covering the most important moments in the formation of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan: 1986. Zheltoksan: 5 volumes. This series of books, dedicated to the events of December 1986, is an important source for studying the political situation and protest movements that took place in Kazakhstan during the collapse of the USSR. The book contains details about the events, their consequences and the role of the Kazakh people in the formation of independence. The last volume examines the socio-political changes that took place in Kazakhstan in the late 80s and early 90s. The students emphasized the importance of historical events for the formation of Kazakhstan's sovereignty and updated the topic of independence in the context of modern times. Thus, the event is aimed at developing education, strengthening the legal and social foundations of the country, and promoting cultural cooperation.
