On April 4, 2025, the annual International Scientific Conference "FARABI ÁLEMI" was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The event brought together students, master’s students, and young researchers who presented the results of their scientific work in the following thematic areas:

1. Politics and economy of Eastern countries, relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan

2. Current issues in Eastern languages and literature

3. Society and religion of Eastern countries

4. History and culture of Eastern countries

Based on the results of the conference, students of the Department of Middle East and South Asia Studies demonstrated a high level of academic preparation and won prizes in various sections.

The winners are:

Marat Aruna, 3rd-year student — 1st place

Abdullah Al-Zubair, 1st-year student — 2nd place

Vasilyev Dmitry, 3rd-year student — 2nd place

Nauryzgaliyeva Nazerke, Yerlanova Assem, Tagybay Aisaule, 4th-year students — 3rd place

These achievements reflect the academic maturity, research potential, and high level of training provided by the department.
