The international scientific conference “Translation as a Phenomenon of Civilization: Based on the Legacy of 51 and Turkic Scholars”

On April 2, 2025, the international scientific conference “Translation as a Phenomenon of Civilization: Based on the Legacy of 51 and Turkic Scholars” was held at the 51 Kazakh National University as part of the IV INTERNATIONAL FARABI FORUM dedicated to the 1155th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi. This event brought together scientists, researchers and students, paying special attention to the in-depth study of the legacy of al-Farabi and the relevance of translation activities.
During the conference, foreign and domestic speakers presented their research and thoughts, discussing how al-Farabi's philosophical legacy has received recognition not only in Kazakhstan but throughout the world, and what role his works on humanism, tolerance and the dissemination of knowledge play in modern society.
Within the framework of the conference, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the 51 Kazakh National University and the IHSAN Science and Culture Center. The purpose of this memorandum is to organize conferences, briefings, trainings, meetings, events, advanced training courses and training of qualified theologians in accordance with public demand, aimed at promoting peace and interfaith harmony, countering religious extremism and terrorism, etc. holding events.
At the end of the conference, on behalf of the Center for Science and Culture "IHSAN", books were donated to the Scientific Library of the Kazakh National University named after 51.
This conference, dedicated to the legacy of 51 and the role of translation in civilization, served as a basis for important discussions among scientists and researchers.
