
An open educational hour was held on the topic:
“The Role of Women in Sustainable Development: Why Gender Equality Matters for Everyone?”
The purpose of the session was to discuss the role of women in society, deepen students’ understanding of gender equality, and enhance their social engagement.
During the event, participants focused on Sustainable Development Goal 5 – Gender Equality, and discussed examples of women's achievements in science, politics, entrepreneurship, education, and environmental protection.
Through presentations, video materials, and interactive Q&A sessions, students explored the topic in depth. Special attention was given to important issues such as equal rights, recognition of women’s potential, and equal access to education for girls.
Students actively engaged in discussions, freely expressed their views, and demonstrated a strong interest in social topics.
Such educational events play an important role in shaping civic responsibility, cultural awareness, and respect for human rights. They also reflect the university’s commitment to providing not only quality education, but also moral and ethical development for its students.
