THE HOMELAND is A NOBLE AND SUBLIME CONCEPT!

On April 2, 2025, the first-year master’s degree students Zhanzhigitova Akerke majoring in "7M02303 – Translation Studies (Western Languages)" and Ospanova Asel majoring "7M02312 – Foreign Philology (Western Languages)" conducted a curatorial hour for the second-year students of the "Foreign Philology" major. The evnt topic was: “The Homeland is a Noble and Sublime Concept.”
The event was also attended by the senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies – Ongarbayeva Meruert Syrlybaevna. The goal of the event was to foster students’ love for their homeland, strengthen their national spirit and patriotic feelings, discuss the role of patriotism in both historical and modern contexts, and expand their knowledge by comparing the culture, history, and achievements of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
During the event, the students explored the concept and significance of the homeland. In group activities, students created posters on the topic of the session and presented the meaning and ideas behind their projects. Aziza, Umida, Navruzbek, Lachyn, and Aigozel stood out for their creativity and active participation. A special highlight of the session was a quiz on the history and culture of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The most active participants in this section were Oraz, Gulovser, and Aibibi. Additionally, students read patriotic poems in English to inspire a sense of national pride. In the final segment, students responded to reflection questions and shared their impressions. They discussed the deeper meaning of patriotism and their role in contributing to society.
The curatorial hour was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Students freely expressed their opinions and demonstrated respect and love for national values.
