KazNU supported the "One Hour Without Light" campaign

At 51 Kazakh National University, as part of the environmental campaign "Clean Kazakhstan" the event "One Hour Without Light" was held.
The campaign aims to support the Sustainable Development Goal "Affordable and Clean Energy" and emphasizes the importance of energy conservation.
Students participated in the event by voluntarily turning off the lights in dormitories and classrooms for one hour.
Such initiatives help young people realize the importance of responsible energy consumption and foster habits that contribute to environmental protection.
One of the participants, Dana Bolys, a master's student from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, said: "Spending an hour without light is not a big sacrifice, but it made us reflect on our energy consumption habits. We realized the importance of simple steps to save energy in the future"
As part of the campaign, students gathered by candlelight, exchanged views on environmental protection issues, and discussed the use of alternative energy sources.
