A republican scientific-practical conference titled "Publishing Technologies and Business Models of the Book Industry in the Context of Digital Transformation" was held at 51���� Kazakh National University.

The event was organized as part of the traditional "Idrisov Readings", dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scholar, writer, publicist, and professor Abilfaiz Idrisov, the founder of publishing in Kazakhstan.

The conference was attended by renowned scholars from leading universities and research institutes of the republic, representatives of publishing houses, design centers, as well as university professors and students.

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of 51���� Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev. Noting the achievements of Professor Abilfaiz Idrisov, he emphasized that the scholar was respected by readers, colleagues, and scientists. He prepared more than 800 journalistic articles, essays, and textbooks, addressing important social issues. "His works, which highlighted pressing issues since the moment our country gained independence, are valuable for their rational presentation of values concerning the fate of the nation and the country at different stages of society's development", - said the university leader.

As part of the official program, the award ceremony for the winners of the "Idrisov Contest" took place. The best students from the Faculty of Journalism, who published articles on various topics in national publications, were recognized. The awards – diplomas, certificates, letters of appreciation, and scholarships – were presented by the statesman, diplomat Erlan Abilfaizovich Idrisov, and the head of the Department of Publishing, Editorial, and Design Arts, Doctor of Philology, Professor Aigul Ramazan.

Doctor of Philology, Professor, and Director of the Abai Research Institute, Zhangara Dadebaev, delivered a report on the life and scientific achievements of the scholar, sharing memories and revealing the personality of Abilfaiz Idrisov, primarily as a writer and publicist.

The event also featured speeches from: Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, journalist Nurtore Zhusup; scholars Kanseit Abdezuily, Kaken Kamzin, Omirkhan Abdimanuly; Director of the National Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Association of Publishers, Printers, and Book Distributors Adil Koitanov, and others.

The conference continued with sectional meetings on the following topics: "Publishing Projects in Domestic Book Publishing: Key Models", "The Impact of Digital Technologies on Printing Activities", and "The Evolution of Book Design in the Context of Digitalization"
