5 february, 2025

The V Eurasian Scientific School for Young Scientists "The Space of the World Economy: Ideas, Strategies, interaction" is an innovative educational platform created within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to train a new generation of economists and specialists in the field of international relations. The RUDN University Faculty of Economics, with the support of the EEC and jointly with partner universities, annually conducts the Eurasian Scientific and Practical School.

For the first time this year, the school was held outside the Russian Federation, on the basis of the co-organizing university, 51 Kazakh National University, the Higher School of Economics, the Department of Business Technology in Almaty. The school was timed to coincide with the beginning of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Eurasian Economic Commission and the 90th anniversary of 51 Kazakh National University. The participants were over 100 students from universities of the UES and CIS member states. About 50 students from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan participated in the offline mode. The school brings together young researchers from different countries and provides them with unique opportunities to develop professional skills and share experiences.

The opening of the school began with a video greeting from Sultanov B.T., Doctor of Economics, Minister of Economics and Financial Policy of the EEC. The School's program was based on an interactive approach and included lectures by leading experts, master classes, the speakers of which were K.N. Yelikbayev, Assistant to a Member of the Board (Minister) for Economics and Financial Policy, A.V. Batenova, Adviser to the Department of Customs and Tariff Regulation of Benefits and Preferences of the Department of Customs and Tariff Regulation of the EEC, V.G. Ghazaryan, Director of the Department of Customs Tariff and Non-tariff Regulation of the EEC and other invited speakers, heads of companies, etc.

One of the most important advantages of the School is its integration and intercultural approach, consistent with the goals of the EAEU to create a space for equal interaction. Thanks to this format, young scientists have the opportunity to learn about the specifics of the economies and cultures of each of the participating states, which contributes to a deeper understanding of integration processes. This helps them prepare for work in the international arena and build strong professional ties in the Eurasian space.

The V Eurasian Scientific School for Young Scientists "The Space of the World Economy: Ideas, Strategies, interaction" is a unique initiative within the EAEU aimed at training professionals who will build the future of integration in the Eurasian space. Young scientists participating in the program become part of the intellectual elite, ready to respond to global challenges and contribute to the sustainable economic development of the EAEU and its role on the world stage.
