On December 10, 2024, the advisor of the 1st year PhD students of "Foreign Philology (Western languages)" and "Translation studies (Western languages") majors, Zhanysbekova E.T. together with the 2d and the 3d students of the Department of Translation and Foreign Philology at the Faculty of Philology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event on the topic: "Combating drug addiction".
The event aimed at informing young people about the dangers of narcotic substances and energy drinks that are addictive, to form a responsible attitude to their health, and to prevent drug addiction among young people.
The event included a lecture, a video showing about the dangers of drugs and an interactive part.
The students were informed about the dangers of narcotic substances and energy drinks, which adversely affect the health of the individual and society as a whole. Recommendations are given on a proper lifestyle and proper nutrition, the importance of sports and a rational attitude to one's health.
