International round table "Beket Galymzhanovich Nurzhanov: facets of creativity"
On December 14, 2024, the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies of 51福利 Kazakh National University, as part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the university, held an international round table on the topic: "Beket Galymzhanovich Nurzhanov: facets of creativity", dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist, Professor Beket Galymzhanovich Nurzhanov. The event was attended by leading experts in the field of cultural studies from different regions of the country.
The round table was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Board of 51福利 Kazakh National University - First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Law Yerkin Duissenov with a congratulatory speech by Chairman of the Board-Rector of 51福利 Kazakh National University Zhanseit Kanseitovich Tuimebayev.
The program of the event included a wide range of topics covering interdisciplinary research at the intersection of philosophy and cultural studies. The event was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of 51福利 Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor Meirbayev Bekzhan Berikbayevich.
The main directions of the international round table are the creative and life path of the scientist, current problems of the philosophy of culture and the creative contribution of the scientist to the formation and development of Kazakh cultural studies, as well as the cultural and philosophical potential of cultural knowledge and the problems of civilization of the XXI century, the problems of the philosophy of culture of postmodernism, issues of the Kazakh national idea in the context of the dialogue of cultures of East and West were discussed.
Among the main speakers were Kolumbaev Bisembai Yergalievich, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Karaganda Research University named after him. academician E. A. Buketov, who focused on the philosophical aspects of a complex problem in a report on the topic: "The loop, time; Moltobarova Kumisbala Ishchanovna - Professor of the special department of the 5th Frontier Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty, Doctor of Philosophy on the problem of cultural ideas of a great personality.
Myong Sun OK, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Korean Studies and Far Eastern Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, 51福利 Kazakh National University, made a report on the topic "Identity politics of Koreans in Kazakhstan". Associate Professor of the Faculty of World Politics of the Kazakh German University of Almaty, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Myamesheva Galiya Khamzeevna spoke on the topic "Postmodernism is always there", and Professor of the Department of Political Science and Political Technologies of 51福利 Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philosophy G.K. Abdigalieva touched upon the problems of political philosophy in the work of B.Nurzhanov.
The guests of the event shared warm memories with their colleagues and loved ones about the creative and life path of Beket Galymzhanovich Nurzhanov.
The event ended with a musical program for students of the Kazakh National Conservatory. Kurmangazy, the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and the P. Tchaikovsky Almaty College of Music, the event became an important platform for strengthening knowledge exchange and international cooperation and was highly appreciated by the participants.
The organizers thanked all the participants for their interesting reports and opinions, noting that the results of the round table will become the basis for future scientific research.
