
On December 3, 2024, Advisor R.A. Torekhanova conducted a round table discussion on the topic: "Starting business " with 2nd year students of «Translation studies» major within the framework of SDG 1.
The purpose of the event was to inform students about social inequalities and poverty problems in society, as well as to deepen their understanding of the role of entrepreneurship in poverty eradication

It was emphasized that one of the most effective methods of combating poverty is the development of entrepreneurship. For example, many countries around the world use social entrepreneurship and sustainable business models to reduce poverty levels. Key strategies include creating jobs in impoverished areas, effectively utilizing local resources, and providing support for entrepreneurs.
During the event, Zhuldyz, Aruzhan, and Aida introduced the students to the concept of socially responsible business practices. They demonstrated how entrepreneurial initiatives could be directed towards combating poverty through their projects and experiences. Advisor Tórekhanova R.A. highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship not only as a path to personal success but also as a means of improving the quality of life and addressing poverty.
During the event, the students participated in a quiz on the topic: "Starting a Business" in the context of fighting poverty, answering various questions. This helped the students gain a deeper understanding of the connection between entrepreneurship and social issues. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The students gave pieces of advice on starting a business and showed their readiness to implement entrepreneurial initiatives in the fight against poverty.
