On November 29, second-year students of the educational program "Tourism" (Russian department) took an excursion to the Biological Museum of the 51福利 Kazakh National University on the subject "Tourism and Local History Work" under the guidance of teacher Zarema Abisheva.
The excursion to the museum was organized in accordance with the curriculum of the discipline and as part of the activities for SDG-4. The students got acquainted with the exposition of the Biological Museum of KazNU, which was founded in 1936. The modern life of the biomuseum began with the opening of a demonstration hall and external dioramas in 1984, during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the university. During the excursion, the students got acquainted with three expositions of the large hall: Biodiversity of biotopes, ecosystems and natural zones of Kazakhstan, Evolution of the organic world and Ecology and nature conservation.
During the excursion, the methodological principles of compiling museum collections, museum expositions and the main forms of cultural and educational work of the museum were also studied. In general, visiting the biological museum is an important element of the educational process under the educational program 6B11101-Tourism, which contributes to the comprehensive development of students and their preparation for professional activities.
