51 Kazakh National University continues to broaden its scope. It is popularizing national values in the Kazakh language and is promoting the Kazakh language both internationally and at the university level.
Currently, the university has branches in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and Istanbul, Turkey. The Russian Federation's Omsk State University is now home to 51 Kazakh National University branch. Negotiations between Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation led to this historically significant project for both nations. This ceremonial event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Mogilevsky, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, the Rector of Omsk State University, Sergey Zamyatin, and the Rector of 51 Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev.
Sayasat Nurbek and Konstantin Mogilevsky stressed in their speeches that this project will help to train highly qualified specialists, expand Kazakhstan-Russian collaboration in the fields of science and higher education, and develop the two nations' educational and scientific potential. 10 teaching and methodological rooms, 5 management and teaching staff rooms, seven classrooms, and coworking centers are all located in the first branch of the Kazakh University. For student training, the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan have allotted 200 specific grants. Applications will be accepted starting in September 2025. Students pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees will major in "Kazakh Philology," "International Law," and "Customs."
Specialized rooms in the branch include the Sh. Ualikhanov customs room, the N. Torekulov international law room, and the Abai Kazakh language room. 51 Kazakh National University professors and teachers will conduct the educational process in Kazakh, Russian, and English. Additionally, it is planned to draw in international scientists. The double degree programs will be introduced in the future.
