“We Stand Against Smoking: For Health and Society”

30 october, 2024

On October 30, a 4th-year group participated in an educational session titled “We Stand Against Smoking: For Health and Society.”
Participants: Students of the “Information Security Systems 21-04” group from the Department of “Cybersecurity and Cryptology,” along with faculty members of the department.

Students discussed how smoking causes serious harm to human health, leading to lung diseases, cardiovascular problems, and cancer. Additionally, smoking endangers not only smokers but also those around them, who become passive smokers. Secondhand smoke negatively impacts the health of both children and adults. Preventing smoking is essential for society as it helps improve public health and reduces the burden on healthcare systems. Taking care of health is everyone’s responsibility.

The session was conducted by Medetbek Zhanar and senior advisor Usmanova Asel.
