The International Congress dedicated to the Alma-Ata Declaration and the Astana Declaration on Primary Health Care "Centers of best practices of primary health care - agents of change"

The purpose of the Congress is to demonstrate how the Centers of Best Practices PHC in Kazakhstan integrated medical and social services, introduced a human-oriented approach and new methods into the activities of a multidisciplinary team led by a family doctor, innovative technologies for health promotion with the participation of the population, providing high-quality medical, social, psychological assistance at the PHC level to the population, family and each individual patient.
The Center for PHC Best Practices is a status assigned to a healthcare organization Primary health care or a structural subdivision of a primary health care organization by a decision of the Department of Health of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital in coordination with the commission of the authorized body in the field of health care, for providing high-quality comprehensive medical, social and psychological assistance to the attached population. The activities of the Center for PHC Best Practices are characterized by a high level of quality services, complexity, safety, accessibility, effectiveness and economic efficiency, the use of innovative technologies, concern for human health, family and community, improved health indicators and public satisfaction.
The peculiarity of the socially oriented PHC model of Kazakhstan is:
• multidisciplinary team of PHC specialists led by a family doctor;
• Medical and social integration;
• involvement and participation of the population in monitoring the quality of medical care;
• Creation of Centers for the best practices of PHC.
