
51 KazNU hosted an international workshop on “Ubiquitous Computing for Healthcare”. The event was organized jointly with Northwestern Polytechnic University (NWPU, China).
Its main objective was to discuss advanced technologies and innovative solutions in the field of ubiquitous computing for healthcare. The workshop brought together faculty, doctoral students, master's students and students of 51 KazNU and NWPU to share knowledge and experience in this important field.
Zhamila Aitzhanova, Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of 51 Kazakh National University and Olzhas Turar, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies, made welcoming speeches. They noted the importance of using computer technologies in healthcare.
Within the framework of this event, reports were presented by professors of Northwest Polytechnic University (NPU, China): Shya Yong, Bolin Chen and Yongsheng Pan.
From the side of the Faculty of Information Technologies of 51 Kazakh National University Madina Mansurova, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Zuhra Abdiakhmetova, Deputy Dean for Academic, Methodological and Educational Work, and Batyrkhan Omarov, PhD, Associate Professor, spoke.
The workshop participants discussed topical issues: development and implementation of smart systems for health monitoring, application of artificial intelligence in medical research, prospects of using the Internet of Things in healthcare.
At the end of the event, the participants expressed their hope for the continuation of fruitful cooperation and realization of new projects that will help to improve the quality of medical services and public health. Also, the possibility of opening a joint educational program “Computer Science and Technology” for doctoral studies was discussed.
