The organization of a round table within the framework of SDG 10 "Closing gap in access to healthcare. Countries experience" at the Department of Health Policy and Organization under the leadership of Professor Gulnur Zeynelovna Tanbayeva and 1st-year doctoral students Gulzhan Alzhanbekova and Wan Xingzhan is a significant event in the field of discussing the problems of reducing inequality in healthcare. During the event, undergraduates and bachelors of the department discussed topical issues related to reducing inequality in the health sector, which is a key aspect of ensuring public health.    

The speakers of the event were 1st-year doctoral student Gulzhan Alzhanbekova and Wan Xingzhan, who provided an overview of experience and research in the field of reducing the gap in access to healthcare. Their reports probably covered important aspects such as successful strategies, using the experience of different countries, and focusing on issues of gender, economic status, education, and place of residence as factors influencing access to health services.
    The main statement put forward for discussion at the round table is that reducing the gap in access to healthcare is an essential direction for improving public health. An analysis of the experiences of various countries in this area provided valuable lessons to participants that can serve as a basis for developing effective strategies to combat health inequalities.
