The XV Republican student subject Olympiad on the educational program "6B04101-State and local government"Farabi University

In the XV Republican Student Subject Olympiad (hereinafter referred to as the Olympiad), held听by听al-Farabi KazNU, only听bachelor听students full-time听2-3 years听study at an听universities of听Kazakhstan听Republic听on听the educational program "6B04101-State and听Local听Government"听could听take part.

A prerequisite is the compliance of the participating students with their declared educational program. Otherwise, the commission, if a discrepancy is found,听rejected听such applications. The application听must be听drawn up in accordance with Appendix 1.听An听University presents no more than 2 (two) teams, each of which consists of 3 (three)听students听to participate in all rounds of the Olympiad. Winners of the Republican Student Olympiads 2020鈥�2022 are not allowed to participate.

The Olympiad includes the following 2 rounds:

1)听the first round听- preliminary correspondence, consisting of:

鈥�听completing a task听in accordance with the requirements and strictly according to the educational program (see Appendix 2);

鈥� sending the following documents:

1.听Application for participation (from each team member).

2.听A letter signed by the rector (vice-rector) and the protocol of the commission on the results of the 1st听round听of the Olympiad听

3.听Project

A team may be denied acceptance of an听application and, accordingly, participation in the Olympiad in the following cases:

鈥⑻�late submission of the听application for participation;听

鈥⑻�non-compliance of the application with the requirements of the Olympiad;听听

鈥⑻�incomplete or inaccurate provision of the necessary documents;

鈥⑻�non-compliance of participants with the declared educational program.听

Based on the results of the first round, the teams with the highest scores according to the relevant selection criteria (see Annex 2)听will be听selected and invited to the second round.

2)听the second round听is the final, which is held in the 5th hall of the Higher School of听Economics听at听the听al-Farabi听KazNU, it will be carried out听according to the approved听assignments听through听the following stages:

1听stage听鈥�greeting听from team.听Homework prepared in accordance with the theme of the Olympiad, defense of the project (maximum 20 points);

2听stage听鈥撎�subject testing (maximum 60 points);

3听stage听鈥撎�leader tournament (team captains) (maximum 20 points).

When summing up the results of the final round, the听commission听takes into account and sums up all the points won by the team at each stage of the second round.

The winner is the university team, the sum of points of which is the maximum among other teams.

The winners, who took the first, second and third places, are awarded with Diplomas signed by the Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of al-Farabi听KazNU听and sealed with the official seal:

Diplomas are awarded at the end of the Olympiad.听

听听听听I.听The preliminary round听is held on the basis of the听commission's consideration of the participants' projects on the theme of the Olympiad.

听

II.听Requirements for the design of the听assignment(Homework):

Computer text parameters: Times New Roman font, size - 14 pt, paragraph indentation - 1 cm, page alignment - 2 cm, intervals before and after the paragraph - 0 pt, automatic hyphenation, 1.0 line spacing, text volume up to 20 pages.

鉃⑻�The commission will be guided by the above requirements. The selection of teams for the second round is carried out based on the results of the first round.
