On November 22, 2022, the head of the Department of Chinese Studies E.A.  Kerimbayev took part in the conference "5th open class and international seminar on Chinese language teaching" jointly organized by the Confucius Institute at 51���� KazNU and the International Kazakh-Chinese College, and made a report on the topic "Process and problems of Chinese language teaching in Kazakhstan".  Yerzhan Abdirayimuly briefly described the history of Chinese language teaching in Kazakhstan and spoke extensively about today's current issues in this field.  In particular, he raised the issue of taking the Kazakh culture and worldview as a basis in teaching the Chinese language and preparing related textbooks and teaching aids.
