On November 18, 2022, the International Scholarship Ceremony of 芦OK BAE&JUNG鈥揧BLN SCHOLARSHIP禄 was held at the Korean House in Almaty.
In it, a 2nd year student of the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies) of the 51福利 Kazakh National University Kim Kristina was awarded a certificate and a $1,200 scholarship. This time she became the only scholarship holder in Kazakhstan under the recommendation of professor Lee Byong Jo.
This scholarship is sponsored by 芦OK BAE&JUNG鈥揧BLN SCHOLARSHIP禄. This organization first began selecting fellows in 2018 and provides scholarships through fundraising with matching funding from YBLN (Young Business Leaders Network). The applicants for the selection are foreign (overseas) korean students from all over the world who have been recommended and are selected based on grades, income levels and a letter of recommendation. This year, a total of 13 fellows worldwide were selected, including students from the US, Russia, Canada, and Kazakhstan, and a total of $25,000 was awarded to all fellows. Christina Kim was one of these scholarship recipients.
The 2nd year student of the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies) once again showed a high level of knowledge in the field of Korean Studies and thus passed the tough competition. This achievement has become a good example for all students of the Department.
