From June to September 2022, an online Korean language course was held to improve the skills of teachers of the Korean language and literature of the Department of the Far East.

This course was delivered by leading faculty from Sookmyung Women's University of the Republic of Korea with financial support from the Korea Foundation. Over the past 4 months, 13 teachers of the department have completed online courses under the guidance of Professor Lee Byung Jo and received certificates from South Korea. Through this course, teachers learned about the latest in teaching methods of Korean language and literature and were able to get a lot of useful teaching materials for use in classrooms and seminars.
