
On September 25, 2022, the first season of the Qalamdas literary award, dedicated to Olga Markova’s memory, ended with a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners.
From March 1 to May 15, 172 applications were submitted, 76 of them in Kazakh and 96 in Russian from different regions of Kazakhstan, in particular from the cities of Almaty, Nur–Sultan, Kokshetau, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Taraz, Taldykorgan, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, as well as from Akmola, Almaty Zhambyl, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Turkestan regions.
In the category "Literary Criticism" the list of winners of the literary award Qalamdas 2022 includes Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature Safronova Lyudmila and PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Zhanysbekova Elmira, who wrote in co-authorship a literary-critical article and submitted it for the competition.
