Zhanel Toleugaziyeva, President of the Komek Public Foundation of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was awarded the nomination "Best Volunteer – 2025" at the Almaty Volunteer Forum.

The event was held with the support of the Office of Youth Policy of the city of Almaty and was timed to coincide with the International Volunteer Day. The forum brought together the heads of various volunteer organizations, activists of youth associations, as well as representatives of initiative groups working on social and environmental projects. The participants exchanged experiences, discussed new projects and outlined ways of further cooperation.

Award winner Zhannelle Toleugazieva emphasized the role of the team in her speech: "This award is the result of our joint work, kindness, responsibility and sincere desire to benefit society",- she said.

During the forum, the most active volunteers and volunteer organizations of the city were awarded with letters of thanks and memorable gifts. This was an expression of appreciation for their hard work and inspired new participants to continue their activities.

In addition, KazNU volunteer groups "Көмек" and "Ашық жүрек" took part in the event, which shared information about their social projects.
