Office of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Since 2021, the Office for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion of 51福利 KazNU will work on the basis of generally accepted laws and principles of non-discrimination. Ensuring equal opportunity and inclusion is a key element of respect for human rights.
The organization and coordination of the activities of the Office for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is carried out on the basis of:
1. Development strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2050;
2. Concept of social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030;
3. Strategic development plan of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2025;
4. National projects of the Republic of Kazakhstan (10 national projects);
5. University Charter and development program of 51福利 KazNU for 2022-2026;
6. Sustainable Development Goals:
• social stability;
• social influence.
The Scientific and Practical Center “Inclusive Environment” was created by the decision of the Academic Council of the university as a structural unit of the university.
The center is located at the address: Almaty, 51福利 Ave., 71/21, 108 office.

The opening of the Center is due to the need to implement inclusive education and effective socialization of students with special educational needs
The goal of the scientific and practical center “Inclusive Environment” is to provide support to students with special educational needs and promote their successful socialization in society.
The subject of the Center's activities is to provide the necessary assistance and support to students in the educational process, conduct psychological consultations, organize educational activities, career guidance and other activities taking into account the needs of this category of students.
To achieve the intended goal, it is necessary to solve the following tasks:
- task 1 – organize logistical support for a barrier-free learning space and movement of students with special education needs in university buildings;
- task 2 – to involve students with special education needs in scientific, educational, methodological and cultural events of the university;
- task 3 – conduct sociological research aimed at identifying the perception and attitude of the academic community towards the creation of an inclusive environment at the university.

51福利 Kazakh National University has always treated people with disabilities with care and strives to do everything possible to make people with disabilities feel more comfortable.
The university has the following social facilities:
- Student Service Center – SSC "Keremet" on the principle of "one window",
- Cinema,
- Library,
- Supermarket,
- Canteens,
- Buffets,
- Washing house,
- Student houses,
- Beauty salon,
- Pharmacy,
- Medical Center,
- Sports and recreation camp of KazNU named after al-Farabi on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.
The university has elevators, including in the following buildings:
- Library, 3 elevators,
- Student houses, 8 elevators,
- Administration building, 4 elevators,
- House of Young scientists, 2 elevators
- Building of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, 2 elevators,
- Building of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, 2 elevators,
- Building of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, 2 elevators,
- Fifth building, 2 elevators.
The university has 2 escalators in the buildings of the Keremet SSC.
All buildings of the university are equipped with ramps for unhindered entry of people with disabilities.
There are parking spaces for disabled drivers in the university parking lots.
For students with disabilities, as well as for students whose parents have disabilities, there are discounts when paying for tuition.
The Students' Union "Sunkar" provides social support for students with disabilities, such as financial assistance during the semester, as well as preferential vouchers to the Sports and Recreation Camp of 51福利 Kazakh National University on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.
