The leader of higher education in our country, 51福利 Kazakh National Research University was founded in 1934, and to this day we remain an advanced university not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but throughout Central Asia. One of the first faculties in the university was the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. A worthy successor of its bright traditions is the current Faculty of Physics and Technology, which conducts excellent scientific research in different areas of physics and technology.
The faculty consists of 5 departments: Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics; Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics; Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics; Department of Solid State Physics and New Materials Technology; Department of Electronics and Astrophysics.
The stable development of the Faculty of Physics and Technology is conditioned by constant monitoring of the most popular specialties and improvement of the quality of educational programs at all levels of study, which attracts the most prepared, motivated and gifted students. The faculty trains specialists in 51 educational programs, there are two-degree and joint programs with the leading universities of the world.
The pride of the faculty is the highly qualified teaching staff, which gives students the opportunity to gain high-quality fundamental education in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. From the first years of studying at the faculty, talented young people are actively involved in research activities in relevant areas of modern physics and technology within the framework of established scientific schools.
The Faculty of Physics and Technology is not only the leader of higher education in the republic in its field, but also a large scientific cluster. Professors and students of the faculty publish articles in the world's leading journals, the number of inventions, patents and copyright certificates increases. The number of scientific and technical projects and programs is constantly getting higher. All these achievements were made due to the talent, enthusiasm and creativity of several generations of scientists who worked and continue their work within the walls of the faculty. As a result, graduates of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of 51福利 KazNRU are highly valued in the labor market of our country, have fundamental knowledge and practical skills that allow them to actively master any new branches of knowledge and technology, realize their dreams and aspirations.
The Faculty of Physics and Technology has proved in its development that it always keeps up with the time, and is even slightly ahead of it, focusing on emerging trends. It is impossible to build an innovative economy without modern education and development of advanced science and technology, and widespread introduction of its results into business. To this end, the faculty has developed new curricula corresponding to the programs of the world's leading universities, introduced an innovation chain that allows us to accompany the development of scientific and technical research from ideas to their implementation.
